Cork Bark is easy to work with because it can be attached to glass or wood terrariums with silicone and in wood vivariums, the cork can be attached with screws. Place a drop of silicone on the head of the screws to prevent them from rusting. Of course, one of the most popular uses of cork bark is to create hideouts for your reptile by terracing several pieces together.
Cork bark can be used with fully aquatic or semi aquatic species as floating cork bark recreates a land section in their enclosure. They also provide a platform for prey items and allows your aquatic creature an easier feeding surface. Frogs will not hesitate to grab crickets that are resting on the bark.
