Testing the phosphate level in your aquarium is your first defense against stopping unsightly algae growth. Of course, not keeping up with water changes and feeding too much will contribute to algae growth but by testing the phosphate level in your tank you will be more prepared to stop or diminish algae growth. NOTE: tap water can contain phosphate. This kit is for both freshwater and saltwater and includes 75 tests.
