Fluval Filter Foam Blocks are used with your 05 Series or FX5 Canister Filter. These foam blocks provide mechanical straining of particle waste and prevent the other filter media in the module stack from clogging. The basic concept of these blocks are mechanical but over time the pores in these foam blocks also become a biological filter. Available in two packs for the 05 fluval fiters and three packs for the FX5 model.
