Hagen Fluval 3 Plus Internal Filter Media (Four Pack)

Fluval 3 plus Polyester Filter Pads have been specifically developed as a fine filter medium for the Fluval 3 Plus Underwater Filter and is ideally suited to filtering out extremely fine suspended particles and contaminants. We recommend that you insert this pad into the center of the media cartridge between two foam pads. This media will complete its job after 1 to 2 weeks and should be replaced by the Carbon pad until it is needed again.

Fluval 3 Plus Foam Pads have been specifically developed as a standard biological filter medium for the Fluval 3 Plus Underwater Filter and maximizes surface contact between the water and the media. The large filtering surfaces ensure efficient cleaning of the aquarium water and maximize the colonization of beneficial bacteria providing superior biological filtration. We recommend that you replace the pad when you have noticed that the water circulation has slowed.

Fluval 3 Plus Carbon Pads have been specifically developed as a standard chemical filter medium for the Fluval 3 Plus Underwater Filter and like the Foam Pads maximizes surface contact between the water and the media. These pads also have large filtering surfaces which ensure efficient cleaning of the aquarium water and provide phenomenal chemical filtration. We recommend that you replace the pad about once a month or when you have noticed that the water circulation has slowed.
