Fluval BioMax is a replacement media for the U Series Filtration System. It is beneficial for both fresh and marine aquariums. BioMax's unique ceramic rings are porous and correctly sized to promote extraordinary beneficial bacterial growth. This is the ideal media for biological removal of both ammonia and nitrite concentrations in your aquarium.
BioMax should be replaced approximately every 6 months, however, only 50% should be replaced at one time so that the older media can seed the new media.
Works with U2, U3, and U4 Filters.
