This is one smartly designed feeder - just load the crickets, shake in some vitmain supplements, and pull the plug from the feeding hole. It's literally that easy to feed your reptiles with the Exo-Terra Feeding Rock. In addition, this zero mess feeder retains any excess vitamin powder so that it can be reused at the next feeding. It also reduces vitamin residue on the substrate, which may be dangerous as it can harbor harmful bacteria, especially in humid terrarium conditions.
Why does it work so well? It's simple, once the unit is in place inside your terrarium and you remove plug from the escape hole - the crickets emerge one at a time allowing a more natural hunting behavior for your reptile. In addition, a quick shake of the feeding rock will ensure an even coating of the vitamin supplement directly to the insects. Of course, the feeder looks just like a real rock but is made of poly-resin for easy cleaning.
